Samantha Eddington
Samantha is a nursing professor at the University of Kentucky, a nurse practitioner and a medical director of a med spa in Georgetown, Kentucky. Samantha is originally from Eastern Kentucky but has resided in Georgetown for 27 years. She is married and has 2 children that reside in Scott County. Her 17 year old daughter Katie is an amputee. After having survived a traumatic injury in 2013, in 2015 she became an elective amputee. Having seen first-hand the positive impact that a charity called 50 Legs has on its recipients, Samantha joined the Board of Directors. Samantha’s leadership enhances the mission of 50 Legs through her family’s personal experience. Together with her daughter, Samantha has organized multiple fundraising events, mentored hundreds of amputees and organized an adaptive travel team. This dynamic duo have overcome many challenges and it’s just the beginning.
